Big night from Burge not enough in Lakeland's overtime loss to Lorain County, 94-91

ELYRIA, Ohio - In its third consecutive overtime game, Lakeland Community College men's basketball fell 94-91 to Lorain County Community College Wednesday night even after 32 points from Jeramie Burge

With the loss, the Lakers fell to 3-14 overall and 2-6 in Ohio Community College Athletic Conference play. 

Burge scored his 32 on 13-of-25 shooting while Trey Granger was able to add 19 points. Ben Sternberg came off the bench to score 12 points while Aaron Pate and Micah Hill each scored 10 points. 

Lakeland put together a solid first half and outscored Lorain County 39-34 behind 10 points from Burge. 

Burge scored 20 of his 32 points in the second half and he made two free throws to give the Lakers an 86-83 lead with 17 seconds left. Lorain was able to nail a 3-pointer just before regulation to force overtime. 

Lakeland held a 91-90 lead after a layup from Burge with 1:40 left in overtime but Lorain County scored the final four points to take the three-point overtime victory.
