Lakers finish second in the Columbus State Tournament

The Lakers traveled to the Bent Tree Golf Course in Sudbury, Ohio to participate in the Columbus State Community College tournament.  It was a beautiful weekend as both days were sunny and around 80 degrees. On day one, the Lakers were led by Victor Prokop as he shot a 76.  Joshua Blaustein and Brian Irish both followed that up with a 78. The Lakers team score for the day was 315. Columbus State was the low for the day at 307.

On day two, the Lakers were led by Brian Irish's 76.  Prokup followed his day one score up with a 78. On the day the Lakers shot a 321 while Columbus State led the way with a 303.

Overall, it was a tough weekend for the Lakers. Coach Cala feels the Lakers will be fine so long as they can be mentally tough; not letting a poor shot carry over into the rest of their play.  He is looking forward to going back to Columbus next week. The Lakers travel to Glen Ross Golf Club next Saturday to continue on in conference play.  They will tee off in the afternoon; times are still TBA.
