The Lakers hosted their tournament at the Quail Hollow Country Club on Sunday, April 30 and Monday, May 1. On day one, the Lakers were led by Joshua Blaustein as he shot an 80. Victor Prokop and Brian Irish both shot an 82 on day one. The Lakers trailed by two strokes going into day two of the tournament. The field started; however, the course became unplayable due to poor weather conditions and so teams were unable to complete even nine holes. Coach Cala states, "It was disappointing as the team had the momentum and looked to finish strong."
Next for the Lakers will be the Regional tournament held at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek, Michigan on May 14 and 15. The goal is for the team to qualify for Nationals. Nationals are held at the Longbow Golf Course in Mesa, Arizona May 23 through 26.
