Sildor, Pesso and Hafer earn All-Region XII honors for Lakeland men’s soccer

Lakeland Community College men's soccer had three players named to the NJCAA All-Region XII team for the 2017 season.

Olivier Fevrier Sildor (Fort Myers, Fla.) and Carlos Pesso (Toronto, Ontario) earn first team honors for the Lakers while Aaron Hafer (Painesville) earned the nod as the second team keeper.

Sildor finished the season second in the NJCAA in assists with 23 in 21 games. The freshman from Florida also tallied 11 goals on the season for 45 total points.

Pesso finished the season tied for third in the NJCAA with 28 goals and finished with a .341 shooting percentage. The freshman forward also added 13 assists to earn 69 total points on the season.

Hafer tied for the NJCAA lead in saves with 139 and finished with a save percentage of .713. Hafers played every minute in goal for the Lakers and finished with a 14-6-1 record.

Lakeland earned a trip to the Region XII semifinals with a 5-1 victory over Muskegon Community College on Oct. 25. Schoolcraft College ended the Lakers season with a 3-0 defeat on Oct. 28.
