Lakeland softball signs catcher/infielder Tristin Handy

Lakeland softball signed its second player for the 2020 team in catcher/infielder Tristin Handy out of Lake High School.

Handy is the daughter of Paul and Julie Handy and intends to study dental hygiene at Lakeland.

Lakeland softball will begin its 2019 season on Feb. 15 with a trip to Surry Community College for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
