The Lakeland women's basketball team fell to the Cincinnati State Surge 83-41 this past Saturday. With the loss, the Lakers fall to 4-10 overall and 1-4 in league play. The Lady Lakers were paced by Patricia Cistrunk 's 20 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman Alicia Sephus also chipped in with 11 points. The Lakers held an early 12-11 advantage before the surge took control of the game. Coach Gardenhire lamented that turnovers played a large role in this game.
The Lady Lakers next game is this Wednesday as they play host to the NJCC's third ranked Owens CC Express. Tip off for the women is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
