The Lakeland women's basketball team fell to the Sinclair community College Tartans 74-43 this past Saturday. With the loss, the Lakers fall to 4-14 overall and 1-7 in league play. The Lady Lakers were paced by Brianna Prugel who had nine points and seven rebounds. New additions Cary Morin (11 points and nine rebounds) and Kayla Zarbock (five points and 12 rebounds) played well for the Lakers in the loss. The difference in this game was the first half. The Tartans shot extremely well in taking a commanding 43-15 at the break. The Lakers played the Tartans fairly even in the second half with Sinclair holding a slight 31-28 edge.
The Lady Lakers next game is Wednesday as they play host to the Columbus State cougars. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
