Legendary Lakeland basketball coach, Terry Bowe, has been selected to join the Lakeland Athletic Hall of Fame. Coach Bowe won 310 games and 3 OCCAC Championships during his tenure. Coach Bowe also had 5 teams qualify for nationals during his 18 years as head coach. Bowe was known for his fiery attitude and tireless effort at Lakeland that pushed his teams to excel on the court, in the classroom, and in the community. Following his tenure at Lakeland, Coach Bowe went on to serve as an Associate Vice-President and head womens basketball coach at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.

The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026 in the Athletic and Fitness Center. The program will begin with a 9:00 am breakfast and be followed by a 9:30 am program. Coach Bowe will also be introduced to the home crowd prior to tipoff as the Lakeland men's basketball team will host the Owens Express at 11:00 am.
