Lakers thump ISA

The NJCAA's #2 ranked Lakeland Lakers played host to the International Sports Academy (ISA) tonight and came away with a convincing 122-60 victory. With the win, Lakeland improves to 16-0 (6-0). Lakeland jumped out to a big lead early and rode the hot hand of Jaidon Lipscomb in the first half as he scored 20 points - including four 3-pointers. Chaze Harris and Ansy Oulare also added 9 points apiece in the first half as the Lakers went into the break with a 63-31 lead. It was more of the same in the second half. This time Lakeland was led by Harris' 15 points and Datrey Long's 13 points.  For the game, Lakeland had every player score and 5 players finish in double figures as they cruised to the victory. Lipscomb finished with 27 points while Harris ended his night with 24 points. Long finished with 15 points and Ansy Oulare scored 13 points. EJ Hubbert knocked down 10 points for the Lakers while Noah Berry chipped in 9 points. Lakeland was also able to use a handsy defense as they deflected a lot of passes to help key the win. 

Hunter's Highlights: "I was pleased with our overall effort tonight. We really came out and worked together - everyone played a part tonight which is always good to see. We have a real strong test for us on Saturday. We're definitely going to have to be focused and bring our A game. We'll work hard the next two days and get ready for that challenge."

Next Up: The Lakers will hit the road on Saturday and travel to Hocking College to take on the Hawks. Lakeland is currently ranked #2 in the NJCAA DII polls while Hocking is ranked 14th. Game time is scheduled for 3pm.
