The Lakeland baseball team continued their swing at Potomac State and dropped the doubleheader by the scores of 21-2 and 7-3. In trying to bounce back from a tough day yesterday, the Lakers fell into a familiar pattern with the Catamounts. Lakeland started by taking a quick 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning. Adrian Cuadrado started it with a 2-out double. Jacob Trevena followed with an RBI-single giving the Lakers the early lead. Lakeland's pitching again struggled early as they surrendered 11 runs in the first inning on 7 hits. Walks and a hit batter set the table before Potomac State strung some hits together to take control of the game. The Lakers would add a run in the 5th inning when Tony Hall hit a lead off double. Hall later scored on a Sam Tetley RBI-single.
Jacob Trevena and Sam Tetley led the way with a hit and RBI. Adrian Cuadrado (2B), Josiah Cuesta, and Tony Hall (2B) each added a hit in the loss. Kaden Stout pitched 2 hitless innings to close out the game.
Game 2 had another tough start for the Lakers as a pair of walks coupled with 2 errors allowed Potomac State to take a 4-0 lead after 1 inning. Lakeland battled back in the top of the 2nd inning by scoring 2 runs. Cameron Huang-Ince started the rally with a 1-out single. Brooks Baker then walked before Thomas Vokic was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Sam Tetley then worked a walk to score the Lakers first run. Adrian Cuadrado scored Baker with a sac fly making the score 4-2. Potomac State added 2 more runs in the home half as the Lakers committed 2 more errors to make the score 6-2. In the top of the 5th, the Lakers scored again to make the score 6-3. Josiah Cuesta hit a leadoff double and advance to 3rd base on a single from Tim Pozsgai. Huang-Ince then walked to load the bases before Thomas Vokic picked up an RBI-walk. For the Lakers, that's as close as they would get as they dropped game 2.

Jacob Trevena, Josiah Cuesta (2B), Emmanuel Dominguez, Tim Pozsgai, Cameron Huang-Ince, and Brooks Baker each added a hit in the Laker loss.
