Baseball downed by Tri-C

The Lakeland baseball team traveled to Cuyahoga today to play their 3rd doubleheader in the past 4 days. The overworked Lakers fell in both ends of the doubleheader by the scores of 9-1 and 15-0. Lakeland jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a solo home run from Adrian Cuadrado. That lead would hold until the bottom of the 3rd inning when the Triceratops would take advantage of an error to tie the score. Tri-C would add 2 more runs in the 4th inning and the Lakers would not recover. Lakeland managed just one more hit, a single from Lorenzo Malcolm, as they dropped game 1. Coleton Logan took the loss on the mound pitching 4 innings and allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. Colby Crosby relieved and was charged with 6 runs (1 earned) over 2 innings of work. In game 2, Cameron Huang-Ince led the way for the Lakers with 2 hits (double, single). Kaden Stout started and took the loss on the moiund.

Next Up: The Lakers are scheduled to continue their heavy schedule of games as they are set to play their 4th doubleheader in 5 days tomorrow at Laker Field. The Owens Express are scheduled to play at Lakeland in a 1:00 pm doubleheader.
