Lakeland's Brandon Lane was named the OCCAC Player of the Week for the week of February 6-12, 2023. Lane posted double-doubles in two Lakeland wins this past week. Against league foe, Bryant & Stratton, he finished the night with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Later that week against Community Christian, Lane paced the Lakers with a 27 point and 13 rebound effort. Currently, the Lakers are 19-4 overall, 11-1 in the OCCAC, and ranked 9th in the country by the NJCAA in DII men's basketball.
