Abram Gutierrez was awarded the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference Player of the Week Award for men's soccer this past week. Gutierrez led the team offensively with 2 goals in the Lakers 4-3 victory at Alpena before adding 2 more goals and an assist at Jamestown in a 3-0 Laker win. The freshman forward currently has 7 goals and 2 assists so far this season. The Lakers record sits at 3-1 and they travel to Schoolcraft on Wednesday (9/10) and then Muskegon on Saturday (9/13). Fans can catch the Lakers in action on Laker Field next Wednesday (9/17) when they face Lake Michigan at 3:00 pm.
