The Lakeland men's basketball played host to the league rival Hocking Hawks today and came away with a convincing 110-63 victory. The Lakers came out on fire to start the game as Marlon Landingham, Jadallah Suleiman, Isaiah McAdams, and Micah Blackmon scored early to give the Lakers a quick 15-0 lead. The Hawks would try to claw back in the game by hitting 3-pointers, but the Lakers always answered today. Lakeland went into the break with a 53-31 lead. In the second half, it was more of the same as the Lakers scored the first 10 points of the half before coasting to the win.

Lakeland finished with 5 players scoring in double figures. Isaiah McAdams was the leading scorer with 26 points while Micah Blackmon controlled the boards and finished with 24 points. Jadallah Suleiman finished his afternoon with 13 points while Amarion Glenn picked up 11 second half points. Marlon Landingham recorded 10 points while both Chauncey Brashers and Nathan Tadiello added 9 points for the Lakers. Jeremiah Martin chipped in 3 points in the Lakers win.

Player of the Game: The team - total team effort - everyone contributed

Coach T's Talk: "I was pleased with our defensive effort - it was consistent throughgout. We also were aggressive on the boards which was good to see. We still have a lot to work on with our consistency in some areas and control, but overall, a solid effort. It was really nice for everyone to get an opportunity to play and for players to gain that experience; that will help us in the long run."

Next Up: On Wednesday (11/19), the Lakers will travel to Owens Community College to face the Express. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
