The Lakeland men's basketball team traveled to CC of Allegheny County today to face the Wild Cats in non-league action. The teams battled throughout the first half with different styles of play. The Lakers used a consistent driving offensive scheme while the Wild Cats connected in several 3 pointers to keep it close. Isaiah McAdams (9 pts) and Alikai Creque (7 points) paced the Lakers in the 1st half as Lakeland went into the break with a 29-28 lead. Im the 2nd half, Micah Blackmon controlled the inside play (8 points) while James Downie connected on a pair of 3-pointers to keep the game close. In the end, the Lakers were unable to fend off the Wild Cats and dropped the game by a final of 67-66.
Lakeland's Micah Blackmon was the teams leading scorer (12 points) while Isaiah McAdams finished his night with 11 points. Marlon Landingham added 9 points in the Lakers defeat. Jadallah Suleiman, Alikai Creque, and James Downie each scored 7 points while Chauncey Brashers picked up 6 points. Maxwell Bollin chipped in 5 points while Juwan Turner added a bucket for the Lakers.
